Frequently asked questions

Is your work dishwasher/microwave safe?

It is! However, hand washing is recommended to increase the life of these lovingly handmade pieces. Same goes for microwave use. :)

Can I visit your studio?

To mitigate the risk of COVID exposure to all parties, studio visits are currently unavailable. All scheduled local pickups are no contact for the health and safety of everyone involved.

I have an idea for a mug/cup/bowl I want made for my bff/hubby/pet. Do you take comissions?

Due to the nature of the way I fire my work, I do not accept custom orders for one or two off items. Every firing is different and glazes are not guaranteed to always come out as planned. I would have to create several backups for your one piece just in case something goes wrong or you are unhappy with the glaze results. That just isn’t sustainable especially if I have several folks looking to get a custom piece made. I would be overwhelmed with making and storing so many extras and I would very likely be unable to sell these extras if they include custom names/words.

Why is your shop empty/disabled/all sold out?

If my shop is empty of listings, everything is marked as sold out, or it is completely disabled, then I am either in the process of making new work or have taken all of my work with me to an in person event. Sign up for my newsletter to receive notifications about shop updates and in person events.

Do you do wholesale?

Not at this time.

I’m a local atlanta restaurant/business. can you create a custom line of tableware/branded products for us?

I can with the understanding that each piece, while very similar in size, shape, and glaze, will have some variations due to the nature of the way that I fire my work. As I currently fire my work in a community studio, timeline for this type of project is upwards of 3-6 months depending on the number of pieces needed. This timeline includes the time it takes to discuss your needs, review/acceptance of project contract, glaze combinations, and to create sample prototypes for approval as well as final production of work.
